Ghanaian Afrobeats sensation Wendy Shay has just released a brand-new song titled “Vivian“, marking her latest entry into the music scene.
The track, which was officially released on Wednesday, October 9, showcases a Francophone-inspired sound.
“Vivian” marks an interesting musical shift for Wendy Shay, a Rufftown Records signee, as she drops s Francophone-style music, just days after Stonebwoy’s “Jejereje,” another track with a strong French influence, took the music scene by storm. This begs the question: is this genre-blending approach becoming a new trend in Ghanaian music?
