Popular Nigerian rapper and singer Phyno has dropped a brand new album titled Full Time Job, marking his third major body of work.
The album, which was officially released on Friday, October 4, features a total of 15 tracks and showcases Phyno’s signature style, blending Afrobeat, hip-hop, and indigenous sounds.
One of the standout tracks on the album, “Do I,” was released as a single in August 2023 and has already made a massive impact. The song received widespread attention and solidified its place as a fan favorite, further building excitement for the full album release.
Full Time Job includes an impressive lineup of collaborations with well-known artists, adding depth and variety to the album. Among the featured musicians are FAVE, Cheque, Chip, Burna Boy, Johnny Drille, Flavour, and surprisingly, Hushpuppi.
Recall that in 2022, a U.S. court sentenced Hushpuppi to 11 years in prison for cybercrimes. He had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering in April 2021, 10 months after his June 2020 arrest in Dubai, UAE.
This time, Hushpuppi uses his experiences so far in life to advise Nigerians in a message that could be described both as motivational and emotional on “Nwoke Esike[Interlude],” track number 10.
