Revered Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo expressed her delight on Facebook over Stonebwoy’s remarkable achievements at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
She specifically celebrated their collaboration winning the esteemed Record of the Year award at the 25th edition of the event, held on June 1 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.
Kidjo shared her joy on her official Facebook page, which boasts a massive following of over 2.5 million fans.
She stated; “« Manodzi » My collaboration with @stonebwoy received the RECORD OF THE YEAR Award at the prestigious Ghanian #TGMA25 Music Award Ceremony yesterday night!”
The Bhim Nation boss won five awards in all on the evening namely; International Collaboration of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Artiste of the Year, and Album/EP of the Year.
In his acceptance speech after winning the topmost prize, Artiste of the Year, Stonebwoy expressed gratitude to his fans, team, and wife for their unwavering support.
The Ashaiman-based superstar highlighted his dedication and consistency as the key factors behind his success, attributing his achievements to hard work.

He also added that he acknowledged the hate being targeted at him by a section of Ghanaians which is inevitable due to his position as a top player in the industry, adding he remains unfazed by it.
“I just want to say thanks to the Most High God. Thank you mama wherever you are, thank you for showering your blessings upon your son. I wrote a long speech but I am lost for words,” Stonebwoy said.
