Angel C. Reese, an American college basketball player for the LSU Tigers of the South-eastern Conference in an interview with The Breakfast Club reveals that musician Drake slides into her DM.
The revelation came after host DJ Envy asked her who had been in her DM that surprised her. She said: “I’m gonna say all congratulations, these are all congratulations, just to clear the air cause I know how it gets…. Drake, Future, DJ Khalid, French Montana…..”
Then DJ Envy interrupted and asked, “Did Drake goes say yo! You know I got a basketball court at the crib? did he say that yet? “ The look on her face after that question was just what we were expecting.
Then she sealed it by saying “my teammates are like ‘you got too much power’.”

Reese was on the show with Flau’jae Johnson, her friend and fellow black team mate, who also happens to be a rapper.
The moniker “Bayou Barbie” was given to Reese after she transferred to LSU. During her first season with the show, she filed a trademark application for the appellation.
Reese was depicted by comedian Punkie Johnson on Saturday Night Live on April 8, 2023. Johnson’s performance satirised Reese’s gesture at the conclusion of the 2023 NCAA Division I championship game and her disagreement with Jill Biden’s remarks regarding inviting Iowa to the White House.
In the weeks following LSU’s championship, LSU alumnus Shaquille O’Neal referred to Reese as the school’s finest athlete ever. After he made the remarks, Reese contacted O’Neal to inform him that she had not done enough to merit such commendation.
