Ghanaian rapper Amerado whose hit song Kwaku Ananse has made him a household name, has opened up about an intriguing incident involving rituals he performed at a cemetery, all because of his intense love for a woman.
During an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Amerado shared this intriguing aspect of his personal life.
He revealed that he found himself at the Ejisu cemetery at an unusual hour, 2:00 am, to perform a local love charm called for girls
According to him, he stood alone in the eerie cemetery, he sprayed powder and poured out his heartfelt desire to win the affection of his beloved.
Although the charm initially seemed to work, their relationship was short-lived due to a minor disagreement that caused the girl to revert to her previous state.
“After I had mentioned her name and did the ‘for girls, I called her the next day and she was all loving. She agreed for me to pick her up, which I did.
“But when we were in the car, I accidentally snatched her phone and it fell and the screen got shattered. Right there and then, she got upset and asked what she was doing in my company and that was it, the ‘for girls’ did not work again”.
When the studio guests expressed doubt about his story, Amerado insisted he was not lying.
He said, “I know this is live, but I swear down, I’m not lying”.
Amerado displayed a sense of indifference when questioned about any remorse he may have felt for his actions. He expressed that individuals are capable of going to great extents in the pursuit of love.
Despite not achieving a romantic relationship with his crush as initially anticipated, he emphasized that they have managed to maintain a strong and amicable friendship.
