Achipalago, also known as Musafa Palago, has urged Ghanaian rappers to refrain from engaging in the ongoing controversy surrounding Sarkodie’s latest track ‘Brag’.
In a recent social media post sighted by Tru News Report, he emphasized that Dremo’s response was not directed towards Ghanaian artists, but solely aimed at Sarkodie.
In light of this, Achipalago advised rappers who have hastily taken offence and released diss tracks against Dremo, as well as those attempting to involve themselves in the dispute, to reconsider their actions and remain focused on their own endeavours.
He emphasized that this battle does not concern them.
Palago further stated that if Sarkodie wishes to defend himself, he is more than capable of doing so. Therefore, Ghanaian artists don’t have to escalate the situation and portray it as a musical war between Ghana and Nigeria.
Tru News Report earlier shared that Sarkodie’s Brag song saw him indirectly call out some Nigerian artists. He emphasized his experience and skill, highlighting his presence in the industry since the rise of Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and newer artists such as Asake and Black Sherif.
He held that despite their influence, he believes that his achievements remain unmatched. Sarkodie then goes a step further by saying he now sees Kendrick & Cole as his main competitors, demonstrating his determination to keep evolving and thriving in his musical career.
“Before Wizkid came I was already doing it. Davido started when I was improving it. Then Odogwu came through, Blacksherif to Asake, yet I’m still going. My biggest competition is Kendrick & Cole.” – Sarkodie says.
