Reports from Asaase Radio confirm that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has unveiled its leadership team for Ghana’s upcoming Parliament, highlighting key appointments within its caucus.
Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who previously held the position of Majority Leader, has been named the new Minority Leader.
Joining him is Patricia Appiagyei, the Member of Parliament for Asokwa in the Ashanti Region, who will serve as Deputy Minority Leader.
Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, retains his role as Minority Chief Whip, while Habib Iddrisu and Davis Opoku Ansah (OPK) have been appointed as 1st and 2nd Deputy Minority Whips, respectively.
Davis Opoku Ansah is the only fresh addition to the team, stepping in as 2nd Deputy Whip following the exit of Alex Tetteh, who lost his seat in the recent election.
The NPP’s National Council is expected to issue an official communication confirming these appointments soon.
