Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., better known by his stage name Akwaboah, a highlife superstar, has only recently (on January 27) released a brand new track accompanied by a music video, for his ardent fans. This highlife/afrobeat tune, which features Kwabena Kwabena, is referred to by him as “My Darling.”
This song marks the artiste’s first release in 2023 after dropping a patriotic theme song for the Black Stars during their participation in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Akwaboah Jnr. began his musical career at an early age, having come from a musical family. However, he initially gained attention in 2009 when two of his songs, Ayeyi Ndwom for DSP Kofi Sarpong and Daa Ke Daa for Becca, received artist honors at the 2010 Ghana Music Awards.
In 2018, the Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer released his first album, “Matters of the Heart,” followed by an EP called “Lighthouse” in 2021.
