Akufo-Addo Destroyed the NPP – Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah Slams

Outspoken media personality Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah has launched a blistering attack on former President Nana Akufo-Addo, accusing him of leading the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into a state of disarray ahead of the 2024 general elections.

On the maiden edition of his For the Records show, Afrifa-Mensah blamed Akufo-Addo for the NPP’s disappointing electoral performance, securing only 42% of the vote.

Afrifa-Mensah’s comments came after an earlier statement made by former Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Mike Oquaye, and other NPP figures, who he claims already knew the cause of the party’s defeat.

According to Afrifa-Mensah, the key figure responsible for the NPP’s loss was present in the very room when the fact-finding committee was formed to examine the party’s future, yet no action was taken.

He sharply stated, “Prof. Mike Oquaye and others already know the cause of the NPP’s defeat in the 2024 general election.

In the very room where the fact-finding committee was formed sat the person responsible for the loss. The reason for the defeat was right there. They should have bundled him up when they were leaving that room.”
