Akua Donkor, the outspoken leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has addressed the resurfacing of an old feud between her and media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay.
The Ghanaian politician shared insights into why she placed a curse on Delay nearly a decade ago and her feelings about the incident going viral once again.
In a video shared by Twitter blogger EDHUB, Akua Donkor, clad in white and being escorted to an unknown destination, explained her reasons for the curse and her frustrations over the ongoing attention. According to Donkor, the video in question is almost ten years old, and she remains puzzled as to why it has resurfaced and is now trending.
During the conversation, the blogger was heard pleading with Akua Donkor to reverse the curse, suggesting that it may have had both direct and indirect effects on Delay.
However, Donkor stood by her decision, citing the disrespect she felt during an interview conducted by the media mogul years ago as the main reason for her drastic action.

Recounting the events that led to her reaction, Akua Donkor explained: “Delay asked me if I had founded a political party, and I answered that. She asked me if I knew that I was mentally unstable before starting the party. She asked why someone like me, who could not read and write, would start a political party and said that I was a mad woman for doing so.”
According to Donkor, this series of questions deeply offended her, particularly the insinuation that she was mentally unfit to establish a political movement due to her lack of formal education. In her view, Delay’s remarks were disrespectful and undermined her political ambitions, leading to her decision to place the curse.
The resurgence of the video has reignited discussions about the incident, with some urging Akua Donkor to reconsider her stance.
However, the politician’s account reveals the long-standing hurt caused by the encounter, which she sees as an attack on her dignity and capabilities as a political leader.
As Akua Donkor reflects on the past, many are left wondering whether the tension between her and Delay will ever be resolved. For now, the politician remains firm in her decision, even as calls for a resolution grow louder.
Whether Akua Donkor will eventually reverse the curse remains to be seen, but the resurfacing of this issue has certainly stirred public interest and raised questions about how past conflicts are handled in the digital age.
