Former Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu addressed the rumours surrounding his relationship with businesswoman and TV show host Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay.
Agyemang-Badu shared his side of the story, shedding light on the nature of his friendship with Delay in a video making the rounds online while speaking to blogger Sammy Kay Media.
“Delay is my good friend. I visit her all the time and sometimes eat at her place. Whenever I am hungry and need some fufu, I just call her and she prepares it for me. I use her car sometimes and that is why people assumed we were dating. She is a lovely person but we have never dated.”

Agyemang-Badu, who has played for clubs like Udinese and Bursaspor, and earned 78 caps for the Ghana national team, emphasized that their relationship is purely platonic.
“We never dated, but Delay is a lovely person who always cooks for me. People thought we were dating because I occasionally used her car. We have never dated, but she is a beautiful person.”
The former midfielder also revealed that Delay was in a committed relationship, which is another reason he never dated her. “We are like siblings, unlike what some people have been saying.”
