In fresh entertainment news, actor Agya Koo became upset and left a live performance when some mourners at a funeral started chanting John Dramani Mahama’s name to provoke him.
He halted the show, spoke to the audience, and then exited. He expressed his frustration, stating that the behaviour was inappropriate since the funeral was not the place for political activities.
Agya Koo mentioned in the footage that some band members were affiliated with the opposition NDC, but they had joined forces to perform at the funeral of an NPP member.
In a video that went viral, shared by blogger EDHUB, the actor stormed off while the offended party attempted to confront him.
Pointing out one member of the band, Agya Koo said, “This lady used to be a teacher in the Central Region, but now she is an organizer in the NPP.
“The drummers you see here are also members of the NDC, but we are all doing one work and on the same team because we are all tolerant and are all Ghanaians.”
In an attempt to understand the rationale behind the chant, the actor questioned if elections would be taking place on the day of the funeral.
“Why all the noise and chants? Would elections be held today? Are we voting today?” Agya Koo questioned.
