According to reports from Citi FM, Nana Agradaa has been formally charged with the possession of obscene materials and has been granted bail of GHc 200,000, secured by two sureties.
It has been alleged that the former celebrity priestess and evangelist, who also served as a TV station host, exhibited nude images of a prophet on her platform and made derogatory remarks in the year 2021.
Additionally, she is accused of utilizing these images on the labels of a beverage for commercial sale.
This is not the first time Nana Agradaa, who happens to be the founder and leader of Heaven Way Champion International Ministry at Weija in Accra has found herself in trouble with the law.
In the year 2022, Agradaa was granted bail in the amount of GH¢ 50,000, secured by three sureties, following an oral bail application presented by her legal counsel in the Accra Circuit Court on Monday, October 17, 2022.
During the proceedings, Agradaa asserted her innocence in one count of charlatanic advertisement and six counts of defrauding by false pretence, before Judge Samuel Bright Acquah of the Court.
Despite being granted bail, Agradaa remained under custodial supervision due to her pending charges at a different Circuit Court, involving one count of charlatanic advertisement and five counts of defrauding by false pretence.
Consequently, she has been remanded to appear before the court on October 26, 2022.
