Afua Asantewaa, known for her participation in the ‘singathon’ event, has generously donated an undisclosed sum of money to the Tema General Hospital.
This donation is specifically intended to support the physiotherapy and children’s surgical departments within the healthcare facility, a new development that has reinforced entertainment in Ghana.
For Afua Asantewaa, this act of kindness is just one of the many ways she wishes to express her deep gratitude for the overwhelming support she received during and after her groundbreaking world record attempt.
She humbly refers to this gesture as her ‘widow’s mite’ and believes that it will contribute towards covering some of the medical expenses in these departments. Furthermore, she promised to visit the hospital again along with her team to extend the same gesture in the future.
Prince Addo Osei, the principal of the physiotherapy department at the Tema General Hospital, and Rufina Mintah, a nursing officer, both expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Afua Asantewaa for her generous support.
