Afua Asantewaa may not have achieved the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest singing marathon by an individual, but she continues to receive new opportunities.

One of the most significant privileges of her participation in the GWR sing-a-thon is her appointment as the Nkosuohemaa (Queen Mother of Development) of Breman Essiam in the Central Region.

Reportedly, the paramount queen mother of Breman Essiam, Nana Afua Asiwa ll, bestowed the title of Nana Afua Asantewaa Anomatsewa (I) (Eloquent bird) upon her during the Donkese (Huge bell) ceremony on Saturday.

In her new role, she will be responsible for implementing programs focused on the area’s development.

The paramount queen’s mother said ” …you have really made us all proud, we the people of Essiam and Ghana are proud of you. You are the first to be conferred with this title. We know what you are capable of doing, hence this recognition.”

“l am indeed honoured and grateful for this honour, l will do everything possible to ensure that we take the development of this area a notch higher,” said Nana Asantewaa Anomatsewa I.

Upon reviewing her Instagram page, it is evident that she has posted pictures from the event, along with a caption for one of the photos.

“I am grateful for the honor bestowed on me by the people of Breman Essiam in the central region which also happen to be my hometown. Today marks the beginning of an exciting, progressive and challenging task that lies before me as the Queen mother of development in Breman Essiam. I am now Nana Afua Asantewaa Anomtewaa I (the first).”
