Veteran Gospel artiste, Edward Akwasi Boateng has disclosed the generous act of Afia Schwarzenegger towards him during the release of his latest single following his hardships.

In an interview with a Tiktok content creator, he mentioned that Afia Schwarzenegger surprised her with $400 as she had previously promised on social media.

The ‘Mebo Wodin’ hitmaker explained that Afia Schwarzenegger obtained his contact information from fellow musician Brother Sammy and promptly reached out to him, offering to assist him which she followed through on.

In February of this year, a viral video surfaced showing the singer selling pen drives with his popular songs, appearing broke.

The video quickly spread online, sparking discussions on multiple entertainment news outlets about the well-being of one of Ghana’s revered gospel artists.

Through a series of interviews, he explained that he resorted to selling his music to cover his children’s school fees.

This revelation prompted a wave of support from both individuals and businesses, who offered financial assistance and other forms of help.

Apparently, Afia Schwarzenegger’s help comes days after she had appealed to Ghanaians on Instagram to provide her with Mr Boateng’s contact details when news of his financial difficulties surfaced online.

“I did not get a helper so I spend more than I earn. At a point, I was not being fed in my own house but a teacher who has come to teach my children is rather fed.

“I have built my own house to accommodate us all but when food has been prepared, I’m not being fed because they say I did not provide money,” Afia had posted.
