Fresh details have emerged about how senior members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) allegedly prevented former Dome/Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, from attending a scheduled radio interview.

According to reports, the former MP was about to leave her home for an interview when an unexpected blockade stopped her in her tracks.

“Adwoa Safo had gotten into her car and was about to leave her home for the interview. However, as she approached her gate, she was suddenly confronted by three Land Cruisers that blocked her path.

“Inside these vehicles were senior members of the NPP who insisted that she would not be allowed to leave for the interview.

“So, for those who were expecting to hear from Adwoa Safo, I regret to inform you that she has been ambushed in her own home by the leadership of the NPP,” the host of Kessben TV/FM’s morning show, Kwame Appiah Kubi, popularly known as Mr. Speaker, revealed on air.

Adwoa Safo has recently been on a media tour, engaging various stations to address concerns about what she perceives as prolonged unfair treatment from her party.

Despite previously apologizing to the NPP and her constituency after her extended absence due to family-related issues, tensions appear to remain high.

Her scheduled appearance on Kessben TV/FM on the morning of Friday, March 21, 2025, was highly anticipated by listeners and viewers.

However, as time passed and she failed to show up, disappointment grew. This prompted Mr. Speaker to clarify the situation to the audience, revealing that she had been blocked from leaving her residence.
