Veteran Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang has stepped into the spotlight with a passionate call for action on critical social and governance issues.
In an interview captured by Graphic Online, Anang, known for his roles in popular Ghanaian films and television shows, voiced his support for various causes aimed at addressing societal ills and promoting accountability in governance.
“I support these causes in making sure that we arrest this case so that lives are saved,” Anang stated, emphasizing the urgency of tackling pressing concerns that impact the well-being of the population.
He highlighted the importance of drawing attention to the problems within society, urging citizens and leaders alike to focus on matters that directly affect people’s health and future.
Anang’s message is a call to prioritize the well-being of the nation over less significant issues. “It is time for us to make noise and keep making noise about this because our lives are at stake at this moment,” he declared, expressing frustration with the current state of affairs.
He noted that what the country is prioritizing over essential aspects like health and the future is “neither here nor there,” signalling a need for a shift in focus toward more meaningful and life-saving interventions.
Despite his strong stance, Anang also highlighted the importance of maintaining lawful conduct when pushing for change.
He further expressed confidence that as long as protests and advocacy efforts remain within legal boundaries, they would be effective and safe. “As long as we are doing these things within the confines of the law, we are good and we are safe,” Anang remarked, urging activists and citizens to remain mindful of the law in their pursuit of justice and reform.
However, Anang also warned of the potential dangers that could arise if these efforts were to cross legal lines.
“If we cross the line, then we have this tug of war going on,” he cautioned, acknowledging the delicate balance between lawful activism and the consequences of stepping outside the boundaries of legality.
His words reflect a deep concern for maintaining order and ensuring that efforts to improve society do not lead to unnecessary conflict.
