Actor Adjetey Anang, who rose to fame in the popular series Things We Do For Love more than twenty years ago has discussed his stance on potentially accepting a nude role in a film.
During an interview with 3FM, he made it clear that regardless of any potential benefits, he would never consider appearing naked in a movie.
“There are characters that I may not play. Somebody else would play it… Nudity, nude scenes, and very graphic, intimate scenes. That’s the thing. It’s not about the money,” he said during the interview has a new perspective on entertainment news on the internet today.
He further elaborated on the societal perception of actors, noting that many Ghanaians struggle to distinguish between the roles actors portray and their actual personalities.
“And that’s how serious people take it. They can’t draw a line between the craft and the artiste,” Anang said.
Things We Do for Love was one of the biggest TV series back in the day. It revolves around the lives of young individuals, both at school and at home, who face obstacles due to their parents’ interference.
Pusher, portrayed by Adjetey Anang, is involved in a relationship with Dede but also has multiple other girlfriends, causing chaos within the neighbourhood.
Pusher’s friend, BB, seeks his advice on how to attract Marcia, but little does he know that Marcia’s brother has developed romantic feelings for Dede.
Shaker, played by Majid Michel, is a Lebanese man working at a hotel and known for his womanizing ways.
He possesses the ability to captivate women with his charming words, but this often leads to embarrassing situations.
Despite his attempts, Shaker fails to win over Enyonam, portrayed by Jackie Appiah, as she is already in love with a calm individual from their neighbourhood.
However, both Enyonam and her love interest struggle to find happiness in their relationship due to her fear of her father.
