Ablakwa Unveils 24-Hour Passport Service to End Delays

Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has announced a bold plan to introduce a 24-hour passport service, aiming to revolutionize passport processing in Ghana.

Speaking on TV3, he stressed the need for efficiency, stating, “It is unacceptable for Ghanaians to endure long waiting periods for passports.”

To achieve this, he intends to modernize the system by integrating digital solutions, expanding processing centres, and streamlining administrative procedures.

“We need a modern, efficient passport system that meets international standards,” he asserted.

Ablakwa emphasized that this initiative is about improving service delivery for all Ghanaians.

“We will invest in the necessary infrastructure and ensure that passport acquisition becomes a seamless process,” he assured.
