The long-standing feud between Nigerian musicians Dammy Krane and Davido has resurfaced once again, this time reigniting over the controversial death of Davido’s former aide, Tagbo.
In a series of posts shared on both Instagram and Twitter, Dammy Krane made explosive remarks that once again drew attention to the unresolved mystery surrounding Tagbo’s death, and in particular, the role Davido played in the aftermath.
The dispute between the two artists dates back several years, to when Tagbo died under mysterious circumstances in 2017. While the death was officially ruled an accident, some aspects of the case remain shrouded in controversy, and rumours about the true events have continued to circulate.
Dammy Krane, who has often been vocal about his grievances with Davido, reignited the issue recently. In his posts, he made it clear that Davido would not dare to take him to court, as doing so would reopen the investigation into Tagbo’s death.

“Y’all see, Davido can’t take me to court because Tagbo’s death case will be reopened and the truth will be revealed,” Dammy Krane wrote on his Twitter account, adding, “Ps: A clear conscience fears no accusation.”
This public statement seems to be a direct challenge to Davido, suggesting that the singer has something to hide. Dammy Krane’s message implied that those with a clear conscience have no reason to fear such accusations, pointing the finger at Davido’s handling of the situation.
“It’s all about having a clear conscience,” Dammy Krane continued. “If you’re innocent, you don’t have to worry about what people say or do. But if there’s something to hide, then of course, you’ll do everything to cover it up.”
For years, the death of Tagbo has remained a dark chapter in the Nigerian music industry, with many fans and critics speculating about the details surrounding his demise.
While Davido has publicly denied any involvement in the death, Dammy Krane’s remarks only add fuel to the fire, further intensifying the already strained relationship between the two musicians.
He accused the artist of attempting to intimidate him by involving the police rather than facing the matter head-on. “Davido is just using the police to try to scare me, but it won’t work,” Dammy Krane stated. “I’m not afraid to speak the truth.”
It remains to be seen whether the controversy surrounding Tagbo’s death will be revisited in the public eye, but Dammy Krane’s latest remarks have undoubtedly brought the issue back to the forefront.
