Nollywood star Angela Okorie has opened up about a distressing experience, revealing that her Samsung phone was stolen during the filming of her latest movie, Unholy Fantasy.
The actress, known for her candid and fiery personality, took to her Instagram page to recount the ordeal and express her disappointment.
Angela disclosed that the phone, which featured a cherished photo of herself and her son as the screensaver, mysteriously disappeared while in the possession of the event’s MC.
She lamented the situation, saying, “While we were filming, someone stole my Samsung phone. The MC was holding it, and suddenly, it was gone. It’s been over a week now, and we are still searching for it.”
She questioned the thief’s lack of conscience, wondering why the sentimental value of the phone’s screensaver didn’t compel its return.
“Didn’t the person see the picture of me and my son? That alone should have been enough reason to return it. Why would anyone steal someone else’s phone? It’s not just wickedness; it’s senseless,” she wrote.
Angela expressed how much she had lost, not just a phone but also valuable contacts and personal content. Despite this, she stood firm in her resolve not to let the incident break her spirit. “I lost all my contacts and content on that phone, but I didn’t lose my life. Nothing can break me,” she declared.
The actress also directed a stern message to the thief, warning them of divine retribution for their actions. “I placed a curse on the person who stole my phone. There are some people you simply cannot steal from. If you’re the one holding my phone, may Heaven judge you. You’ve done me wrong, but you’ve done yourself worse.”
In a moment of reflection, Angela shared how her faith has helped her cope with the loss. She recalled a prayer session where she felt reassured by her belief that everything she had lost would be restored.
“God told me everything I’ve lost will be doubled, and I believe it. But to the thief, I pray you don’t die before the end of this year. Go and seek forgiveness from God,” she added.
Angela’s frustration also extended to those who buy stolen phones, warning them of the long-term consequences of their actions.
“Those who buy stolen phones are no better than the thieves themselves. Your actions will eventually catch up with you,” she said.
Closing her emotional post, the actress expressed gratitude for her safety and used a bit of humour to lighten the mood. “Thank God I’m home now; at least no one will steal me too,” she wrote.
