50 Cent has made headlines for selling the distribution rights of his ongoing project to Netflix.
The rapper has been vocal about the sexual assault allegations against P. Diddy, expressing his views through Instagram posts.
After a fierce bidding war, it seems that Netflix emerged as the winner among multiple streaming platforms and television networks interested in the project.
The movie will be produced by 50 Cent’s own company, G-Unit Film and Television Studios, and is expected to be released shortly. In response to TMZ’s report, Diddy took a jab at the publication, implying that they were envious of the news. He specifically commented on the choice of photo accompanying the article.
“TMZ use this fat boy picture of me because their doc went to Tubi LOL. it’s ok guys we’re all making good television mines just happens to be the best! NETFLIX wins the bidding war but if more victims keep coming out. I’m gonna need more episodes.”
Luckily, they swapped out the photo for something more flattering. “Ok TMZ put up a 2024 picture baby, let’s work ! LOL,” 50 Cent wrote in response.
Progress on the project’s development coincided with Diddy facing a sixth accusation of sexual assault, as a model filed a lawsuit against him in New York. The model claimed that he had drugged her and coerced her into performing oral sex, as stated in court documents obtained by The Mirror.
Diddy faced a sixth accusation of sexual assault as the movement on the project’s production progressed. A model filed a lawsuit in New York, claiming that he drugged her and coerced her into performing oral sex.
The lawsuit also alleged that Diddy retaliated against her in the modelling industry after failing to fulfil promises to advance her career.
The model mentioned Cassie Ventura’s experience as her inspiration for coming forward. Last year, Cassie was the first to accuse Diddy of assault and rape, but they settled out of court. Recently, video footage emerged of Diddy physically assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway, a behaviour he later described as “inexcusable.”
