Rapper 50 Cent may face legal repercussions following an incident during his ‘Final Lap’ tour stop at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
Video footage obtained by Fox News Digital shows the artiste throwing two microphones into the audience during the performance. In the first instance, he appears to offer the microphone to the crowd before flinging it offstage. Later in the show, he appears frustrated and throws the microphone with force.
According to Variety, 50 Cent was upset because the microphones were not working, leading him to toss them angrily into the crowd. Images shared online indicate that a woman, identified as Bryhana Monegain, a host for Los Angeles hip hop radio station Power 106, was injured with a severe wound on her forehead.
Scott Leemon, attorney for 50 Cent (birth name Curtis Jackson), stated that his client would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone and that anyone claiming otherwise is misinformed. Fox News Digital reached out to representatives for Monegain, but they did not immediately respond to the request for comment.

According to the LAPD, no unit or officers were dispatched to Crypto.com Arena in response to an incident involving the aforementioned rapper. Furthermore, there is presently no police report on file for the aforementioned individual. This occurrence marks the latest in a series of incidents involving rappers and their concerts.
This incident is akin to what Cardi B did a few weeks ago. Recall that back in July this year, rapper Cardi B was involved in an incident in Las Vegas where an audience member threw a drink at her during her performance of “Bodak Yellow”.
In response, Cardi B threw her microphone at the individual. Security guards intervened and escorted the woman out of the venue. Additional footage shows Cardi B requesting water to cool off, although it is unclear whether this was before or after the drink was thrown.
Later in the show, Cardi B made it clear that she did not want any objects thrown at her. This occurrence is one of several recent incidents where musical artists have been targeted by thrown objects during their performances.
