A prominent figure in the Ghanaian music industry, Black Sherif took home the Best International Flow award at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards.

The 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards will air on October 10 after being taped at the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, October 3.

Black Sherif was nominated for the prestigious award alongside other notable artists from various parts of the world, such as AKA from South Africa, Central Cee from the UK, Gazo from France, J Hus from the UK, K.O from South Africa, Major RD from Brazil, Ninho from France, Sampa the Great from Zambia, and Tasha & Tracie from Brazil, for which he beat them.

Over the past two years, Black Sherif’s career has skyrocketed, and he is the second Ghanaian artiste to achieve success in this particular category. With this year’s nomination, Black Sherif received his second nomination in the same category. Benjamin EPPS defeated Black Sherif in the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards‘ Best International Flow Category nomination.

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie also made waves in 2019 by taking home the trophy for the first-ever Best International Flow award. In addition to Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Bow Wow, and Ludacris, the BET Hip Hop Awards will feature performances from many other notable artists.
