Ghanaian media personality Bridget Otoo has taken a swipe at the minority caucus in Parliament following their press conference disputing key claims made by President John Dramani Mahama in his 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA).
The press conference, staged shortly after Mahama’s address, was aimed at countering his assessment of the economy and governance under the previous administration.
However, Otoo was not convinced.
Taking to Twitter on February 27, 2025, she dismissed the rebuttal as an attempt to mislead Ghanaians, arguing that the election results and the current composition of Parliament are proof of the electorate’s dissatisfaction.
“I listened to the micro minority rumble on about handing over a ‘restored’ economy to the NDC.

“The true state of the economy is in the 184 seats the Majority has; the real state of affairs is in the 38% they had in the election,” she posted.
She did not stop there, further reminding the minority of the massive gap in votes that led to their loss. “The true state of affairs is in the 1.7 million gap they received. No press conference revisionism will change that!”
Bridget Otoo, known for her blunt political commentary, also praised Mahama’s address, describing it as “direct… no sugar coating.”
